Converging lens #2

  • A ray passing through the center of the lens will be undeflected.
  • A ray proceeding parallel to the principal axis will pass through the principal focal point beyond the lens.

These properties are used to construct ray diagrams in order to locate the image of an object through a converging lens.

Click and drag vertically the lens.
Click and drag horizontally the focal point F'.
